Vance Blankers joined the Dean’s Office of the College of Science in a new role designed to better support the growing number of cross-disciplinary research proposals among Northeastern faculty. In this role, he works with the Associate Dean for Research and other members of the College leadership team to provide guidance and support for the development of collaborative, cross-disciplinary projects of strategic importance to the College of Science. Vance is also a part-time lecturer in the mathematics department.
Vance holds a PhD in Mathematics from Colorado State University, where his doctoral research focused on algebraic geometry and moduli theory, and he is an advocate for improving public fluency in mathematics and science.
