
Rylan Gonzalez is a Plus One Master’s student in the Environmental Science & Policy Program at Northeastern University, expecting to graduate in May 2026. His interests are the intersection of environmental science, business, law, and policy.
Currently, Rylan serves as a Research Assistant at Northeastern’s Earth Surface Systems Lab. In this role, he analyzes sediment cores and prepares samples for gamma detection. He received the David A. Radivonyk Grant Fund for Student Research in Economics. Rylan has also shared his insights as a speaker at the United States Society for Ecological Economics.
During his undergraduate studies, Rylan pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship, along with minors in Environmental Studies and Sustainable Business Practices. To gain an international perspective, Rylan attended the University of Cambridge Pembroke Cambridge Summer Program.
Professionally, Rylan has diverse experience in sustainable investing and agriculture. He worked as a Sustainable Investing Operations Co-op at the asset management firm Wellington Management, where he contributed to the Sustainable Investment Client Group and Regulatory Operations teams. To further his experiential education, Rylan spent half a year working across ten farms to gain firsthand insights into conventional and organic agriculture.
