Michaela Fanikos is a PhD student working in the Developmental Neuropsychobiology Laboratory under Dr. Heather Brenhouse. Fanikos is interested in the interaction between the nervous system, the immune system, and the environment during development. Her research investigates how early life adversity affects microglial phenotype and reactivity later in life.
