Mariya Vodyanyk is a graduate student working with Dr. Susanne Jaeggi at the SoundMind Collaboratory. Masha received her B.S. in neurobiology at University of Wisconsin, Madison and her M.A. in Education at the University of California, Irvine.
Vodyanyk’s interests include cognitive neuropsychology, activity engagement, and visual art. She enjoys working with different populations, such as older adults and children. Currently, she develops and tests the efficacy of observational drawing-based training. She is interested in understanding the cognitive and perceptual changes that occur as a result of gaining expertise in representational drawing. In her free time, Masha enjoys plein air painting as a way to exercising both her creativity and knowledge of the psychology of art.
