Camille Rumberger is a PhD student working in the Lotterhos Lab. She is interested in using genomics and ecological and evolutionary modeling to understand the phenomenon of local adaptation. In her graduate studies, Rumberger hopes to use these tools to predict how marine invertebrates will adapt to their environments, particularly under climate change scenarios. These interests stem from her time at UC Davis, where she worked as a junior specialist for Dr. Rachael Bay studying various questions related to molecular ecology and population genomics in corals and purple urchins. Rumberger is also invested in conservation, and have spent several summers aiding in coral restoration efforts in the Caribbean.
