Congratulations – 4.26.2024
Dear College of Science Faculty and Staff,
At the end of finals week, and with good wishes for all of you grading this weekend, we are close to the end of semester. With our two Summer Semesters, the academic year (AY2023/24) concludes at the end of Summer 2, but it’s a little complex, and one can also reference the fiscal year (FY24) which ends on June 30 right at the end of Summer 1.
Now, racing towards the end of the semester, THANK YOU for your teaching, for creative lectures, well-run labs, homework problems, exam problems, office hours, dealing with student issues, resolving student issues, writing recommendations, encouraging, and celebrating your students’ successes. Thank you for all the educating, and organizing that promotes outstanding, personalized student learning in Science.
This week was celebratory in our College of Science, as we held the fun and important second annual COS Awards Ceremony. Thank you to Caroline Leary for visuals, Bethany Dupree for emceeing, Reyes Lopez for technical expertise, Jackie Donnelly for a wonderful video, and Anna Murdock for scheduling the event.
CONGRATULATIONS! to every recipient of every award! Some are listed below. In the full deck and recording of the event, you will see that scores more people were honored, including Northeastern Excellence in Research and Creativity Awardee Arun Bansil, this year’s CONNECTS Award recipients, all honorific faculty awardees, all recipients of research funding awards, and along with them, every member of grants administration who contributed, graduate student Dean’s award winners and graduate student NSF GRFP awardees. CONGRATULATIONS!
As we gear up for Commencement celebrations next week, warm wishes to everyone.
