Interdisciplinary Women’s Council (IWC)
The Northeastern University Interdisciplinary Women’s Council (IWC) is the first body on the Northeastern campus that aims to bring together women and women’s organizations on campus to facilitate the communication and promotion of women’s leadership initiatives and events on campus. The council exposes students and organizations to resources, knowledge, events, and practices which have helped women’s organizations towards success.
We believe that organizations on campus who promote gender equality should have the ability to know how to succeed as a club at Northeastern.
We are the primary body from which the university hosts campus-wide, interdisciplinary women’s events such as International Women’s Day Celebration.

Art of Science NU
Sometimes taking images for research isn’t just for the sake of data–cells, structures, and anything else can have their own beauty when captured on a screen. Great shots of research (or experimental mistakes that just looked cool), are showcased through the Art of Science competition. Our contest occurs annually in the spring and provides undergraduate and graduate students conducting research a unique opportunity to showcase their work. Students can submit an image and a description that speaks to the research they are conducting. All images and descriptions are judged by a panel of experts from across the Northeastern University campus. Top images are printed and displayed, with cash prizes awarded to top entries.
