Northeastern’s Student Chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM)
Northeastern's AWM chapter hopes to foster a communal environment within the math department that empowers women and other underrepresented gender identities in STEM to conduct research, experience co-op, study abroad, and more. The core of our work involves the development of events and workshops that aim to support chapter members in fulfilling their academic and professional goals.
COS Student Diversity Advisory Council
COSSDAC aims to provide support for underrepresented students in the sciences. It helps members academically, professionally, and provides postgraduate resources and a sense of community. They bring the resources that exist directly to members, such as mentorship programs and inviting different offices to meetings to speak about opportunities and resources. COSSDAC believes in giving back to the community by having science enrichment programs to get high school students into science and learn about the disparities that exist in our communities. Math Club
Students interested in mathematics get together and further explore mathematics outside of a classroom setting. We have weekly meetings which consist of a mix of both open discussions and talks given by professors, graduate students, and also some undergraduates.
NU Sci
NU Sci is Northeastern University’s first ever on-campus science magazine. Student-formed and student-run we are a group that meets every Monday to discuss scientific events and create a product that educates and enlightens the NU community. Get Involved; we’re always looking for more writers, photographers, and graphic designers!
