Jennifer Cassano earned her PhD in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and has taught General Chemistry at NU Oakland since 2017. Her scholarly interests focus on developing pedagogical strategies to enhance student engagement and comprehension in chemistry, with a particular emphasis on gamification and the role of AI in chemical education.
Outside the classroom, Dr. Cassano enjoys life with her family and three dogs—a spirited husky and two fluffy Samoyeds. She is currently writing a book of short stories about memorable experiences in chemistry as well as a children’s book about chemistry.
