Introduction to the Strategic Plan 2017
I’m pleased to introduce to you the DRAFT 2017 Strategic Plan for the College of Science at Northeastern University.
The University’s Academic Plan developed in 2016 lays the foundation for the College of Science’s five-year Strategic Plan. Northeastern is dedicated to continually revolutionizing the way we fulfill our mission in research and education. The Strategic Plan is designed to innovate and build upon the power of our many strengths as a college. We aim to create an environment where our research will prosper and our students develop to be agile learners, thinkers, and creators.
The draft strategic plan is living document, and we are now seeking feedback to improve and add to our vision. The focus of the planning process at present is to determine what goals we wish to achieve in the next five years. We will then move onto the implementation plan which will change focus on how will we achieve these goals. Please read through our goals for the college, and submit your comments and feedback.
I will be visiting each individual department this semester to discuss the Strategic Plan, and will also presenting the latest version at the College Assembly on November 7 at 12 p.m. in Raytheon Amphitheater.
