About Gregory Coppola

Gregory is a Master’s Student in the Environmental Science & Policy Program. His interests are sustainable urban planning and development, resiliency, and renewable energy transitions. While pursuing a full academic schedule, Gregory currently operates as an Environment Compliance Officer at Eastern Salt Co. Here, he coordinates compliance programs with company Executives and Regional Managers with regards to individualized NPDES permits and other Clean Water Act regulations at various terminals across six states.

During the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters Gregory secured a part-time internship with New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). He currently assists the Energy Affordability and Equity team. In this role, Gregory coordinates with Managing Directors and fellow team members to plan and initiate public financing programs for sustanable modifications for low income households across the state.

Gregory was born and raised in NYC. He graduated from Fairfield University in May 2018 as a Division I student-athlete with a degree in Politics and International Relations and Cum Laude Honors. Before attending Northeastern University in the Fall of 2019, Gregory operated as a Compliance Officer for the New York City Council.
