Student discovers interest at the intersection of psychology, business and design through co-op experience

oct-featured-co-opPsychology major Jamie Kotcher’s recent co-op experience not only gave her valuable skills necessary to succeed in a diverse range of work environments, but it also helped her to discover additional interests in business and design.

On her recent co-op with EF Education in Marketing and Sales, she had the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of different areas while learning about the importance of working as a small team within a larger company. She also learned about the importance of team-building and collaboration, as well as the value of a fun and positive work culture.

Already a psychology major, she realized on her co-op her fascination for design and business, and has decided to declare both a business and design minor in addition to her major. She is enthusiastic about the possibilities she sees within the intersection of psychology, business, and design, and is excited to begin her minor by taking a Design process context and systems class and a 2D drawing class in addition to her psychology courses.
