Searching the next frontier

North­eastern Assis­tant Pro­fessor of Physics, Toyoko Ori­moto, works at the Large Hadron Col­lider at the Euro­pean Orga­ni­za­tion for Nuclear Research in Geneva, Switzer­land.

She was on the team that iden­ti­fied the Higgs boson — the last elu­sive par­ticle in the Stan­dard Model of physics.

She con­tinues to search for pos­si­bil­i­ties beyond the Stan­dard Model like gravity and dark matter.
