PhD Candidate Isha Vicaria wins two awards

PhD Candidate, Isha Vicaria, is this year’s recipient of the College of Science Dean’s Award for Graduate Student Excellence in Leadership. A ceremony was held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 in the Cabral Center of the John D. O’Bryant African American Institute honoring this year’s recipients.

In addition, she is also the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Student Award presented by the Graduate and Student Government (GSG) and the Office of the Provost. The purpose of the Outstanding Graduate Student Awards is to honor exceptional students for their significant contributions and accomplishments in teaching, research, community service and experiential learning. The awards were established to confer honor upon individuals, who, by their contributions to their field and the community, have brought recognition to themselves and the University.
