Two College of Science students receive nominations for prestigious fellowships

Congratulations to our two College of Science seniors, who have recently been nominated for the prestigious Rhodes and Knight-Hennessy Scholarships! Lola Akingbade (Behavioral Neuroscience) and Amina Ly (Environmental Science) have had busy and fulfilling careers at Northeastern, and their passions here in science and in policy have helped them get where they are today.

Student Chapter for the National Organization of Rare Disorders formed at Northeastern

"One of the overall main goals for our group is to raise awareness," said pharmacy student and organization founder Jennifer Shoskes. "One of the main things about rare diseases is that people don't know about them – and it's not just about the disease, but to shed light on what patients and their caregivers go through."

Northeastern University, in collaboration with the Barnett Institute of Chemical and Biological Analysis is very excited to host the 2017 Global CESI-MS Symposium at the end of this week. On October 5-6, Associate Professor Alexander Ivanov will take the lead in hosting scientists from around the world as they present the latest and greatest in CESI-MS (Capillary Electrophoresis integrated with Electrospray Ionization-Mass Spectrometry).
