Congratulations to Danielle Blanch, pictured with Vice Provost Luis Falcon. Danielle was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Award in Research in the Humanities, Social, and Behavioral Sciences. This is one of six university-wide graduate awards for research, teaching, and community service presented annually by the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) and the Office of the Provost.

The research award criteria include: demonstrated ability to conduct original research, evidence of scholarly contributions to the literature, and research effectiveness in a manner that substantially exceeds expectation. Danielle’s research focuses on interpersonal sensitivity and nonverbal communication and the application of these concepts to the doctor-patient interaction.
