Dr. Nathaniel Bottman, currently a Research Instructor in the Mathematics Department, has been awarded a 3-year Postdoctoral Fellowship from the National Science Foundation. Dr. Bottman will conduct research on the topics “Functoriality for the Fukaya category” during his tenure at Princeton University, under the mentorship of Professors Helmut Hofer and Nick Sheridan. Dr. Bottman obtained his PhD at MIT in 2015, and is a member of the Mathematics Department during the 2015-2016 academic year.
