Chemistry students win Excellent Poster awards

Congratulations to PhD Candidate Caitlyn Mills and Undergraduate Elise Miner for winning Excellent Poster awards at the Northeast Student Chemistry Research Conference on April 12, 2014. The NSCRC is sponsored by the Younger Chemists Committee of the American Chemical Society.

Caitlyn works in the labs of Professors Mary Ondrechen and Penny Beuning.  The title of her poster was, “Functional characterization of structural genomics proteins in the crotonase superfamily.”

Elise works in the lab of Professor Sanjeev Mukerjee.  The title of her poster was, “Expedited synthesis and structural and kinetic studies of non-platinum group metal-organic framework electrocatalysts.”
