Former graduate student featured in Wall Street Journal

Nora Murphy, who received her PhD from the Northeastern University Psychology Department in 2003, was recently interviewed for a Wall Street Journal article entitled “How to Look Smarter.” Murphy, who worked in Prof. Judith Hall’s lab during her time at Northeastern, spoke to the Wall Street Journal about her research comparing the behaviors people adopt when trying to look smart with the cues observers use in sizing up others’ intelligence.
