Psychology professor Lisa Feldman Barrett recently wrote a piece for Science2034.org in which she discusses the ecology of the mind. She draws from the new Disney-Pixar movie “Inside Out,” which is about a young girl’s life portrayed through various characters each representing a different emotion.
But Barrett explains that the research in her lab shows that emotions cannot be put into individual categories, but that it’s a collection of experiences.
