EMD Serono, Inc.’s Billerica, MA office is the recipient of the 2013 Advisory Board Award award of the National Professional Science Master’s Association (NPSMA). The award is presented for outstanding contribution by a corporate or industry leader. EMD Serono has served in an advisory capacity to Northeastern University’s Professional Science Master’s (PSM) in Biotechnology Program and has provided 38 graduate co-op experiences for the program’s students since 2007. The graduate co-op experience is the real world component and a cornerstone of the PSM in Biotechnology Program.
Graduate Co-op Coordinator Vanecia Harrison-Sanders accepted the award on behalf of EMD Serono at NSPMA’s national conference in Arlington, Virginia on November 15, 2013. She and Administrative Manager Cynthia Bainton presented the award to Steve Arkinstall, VP of External Innovation, on December 6 at an event that featured Northeastern’s co-op students presenting on the work they accomplished at EMD Serono during the semester.
