The Department of Mathematics welcomes two new faculty members.

Ana-Maria Castravet received her PhD in 2002, from MIT. Her area of expertise is algebraic geometry, with focus on moduli spaces of rational curves and their related invariant theory. Professor Castravet can be contacted at: [email protected].

Emanuele Macri received his PhD in 2006, from SISSA (Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati), Trieste. His area of expertise is algebraic geometry, including applications of abstract homological algebra constructions to problems in algebraic geometry and mathematical physics.
