COS honors graduate students with awards
Dean Kenneth W. Henderson awarded five graduate students awards in several categories during a ceremony on Thursday, April 19. Each student’s sponsor spoke about the student, recalling how they work in the lab, work with other team members, or lead by example.
The students also addressed the crowd, thanking their family and friends for support, talking about the experience they’ve had in their labs, and what the award means to them.
Congratulations to all of the students nominated, Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Affairs David Budil said the selection process was difficult. And a special congratulations to the students recognized with this year’s College of Science Dean’s Awards for Graduate Student Excellence.
