Chemistry Professor Named Fellow of The Electrochemical Society

Chemistry professor Sanjeev Mukerjee has been named a Fellow of The Electrochemical Society. This honor is in recognition of his scientific achievements and service to the Society.

The outgoing president of the Society used the word “outstanding” to classify Mukerjee’s contributions toward understanding Pt electrocatalysis and fuel cell materials characterization.

Mukerjee will be recognized for this honor during the Plenary Session of The Electrochemical Society’s 224th Meeting in San Francisco in October.

The Fellow award was established in 1989, the Society explains, to acknowledge “individual contributions and leadership in the achievement of science and technology in the area of electrochemistry and solid-state sciences and current active participation in the affairs of The Electrochemical Society.”
