BNS student co-ops as a global mental health intern

Meghan Davis was able to pack a whole lot of research and fun into her four-month co-op in Glasgow, Scotland.

Davis, who came home just in time to graduate in May 2016 with a degree in Behavioral Neuroscience, was a Global Mental Health intern at the University of Glasgow. While there she researched mental health assessment tools that are used in mental health programs being developed in Uganda.

She also helped write about community mental health programs operating in slum communities in India.

While in Europe, she was also able to do a fair share of traveling including a skiing trip to the French Alps and attending a Scottish wedding.
