ASBMB recognizes Northeastern’s chapter

Northeastern’s Chapter of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) has been recognized for their work in organizing an inter-school event for November 8, 2015 called “The Active Site: Promoting Favorable Interactions Among Undergraduates.”

The event features a keynote talk by well-known breast cancer researcher Dr. Kornelia Polyak, MD, PhD, who heads a research lab at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and is a Professor of Medicine at Harvard, followed by a multi-school poster session.

The ASBMB has officially designated this meeting as an ASBMB Regional Meeting, in recognition of its great potential to bring like-minded undergraduate researchers from the greater Boston area together to network and learn from each other, and has awarded funding to support the event.
